Space Planning

Level 2 (intermediate)

In this course, students learn to plan out spaces for a variety of users.  They study specific requirements for movement and clearance as well as how to arrange spaces for optimum functionality and sight line appearance.  Graphical techniques such as matrices and bubble diagrams are used to list project requirements and make preliminary space plans.

Students plan a variety of residential and commercial spaces including a condominium, a residential great room and an accounting office.
